[It's altogether too easy for Kris to lose time while she's researching.
... ... ...
But, for some reason, something tells her that she's been in Meteor Cavern for a very long time... perhaps she should go outside so she could get reception for her Pokegear?]
[Lost? Why would he be lost? There's no reason for him to be lost. He totally knows where he's going.
...Okay, so maybe he's a little-
So maybe he's really lost. But that's alright. He knows he hasn't been here before, and that works out just fine, considering he's trying to find someone. With Sneasel piggyback riding on him and Feraligatr at his right side, he continues looking around. ...Or looking around as well as he can, anyway. It's pretty dark.
[Oh, but- the Bagon are getting active again... it probably won't hurt to stay a few more hours. Right?
[... ...]
[Deep within the cave system, above the waterfall, Kris sits neatly behind a boulder. She writes neat notes in her very tidy research notebook, oblivious to everything but the behavior of the wild Pokemon in front of her.]
[More water. Back onto Feraligatr to keep heading through the water- slowly, though, so they don't make too much noise and disturb the popu- Whoa jeez what just--
A Bagon jumps down from some elevated ground next to the waterfall to the ground nearby Silver. What are those things? Silver pulls out his Pokédex to check.
He... Might be in the view of your Bagon gazing there, Crys. A big distracting red beacon in Bagonland. It doesn't help that a portion of them are coming to check out the disturbance, either.]
[There's something distinct about their fighting. They're... Only trying to use Headbutt on the two of them? Silver quickly checks his Pokédex, and- oh. Oh.
Well, now he knows what to do. Instead of dodging around with Sneasel and trying to keep the peace, he lets out Murkrow.]
[Sure, Sneasel could probably wipe them out without much effort at all, but... He doesn't want to hurt them if he can help it. Normally he'd go in the air with Murkrow, too, but that won't exactly fly here.
What will fly, on the other hand... As one heads in to headbutt them, Murkrow headbutts it right back. And from there Murkrow takes a Bagon into the air, and...
...And that's it. Murkrow starts flying around the Bagon. Welcome to flying, dude. One day you'll be able to do this yourself.
It makes just about all of the Bagon completely stop what they're doing and stare at Murkrow and the Bagon in the air in awe.]
In one fell swoop, he's stopped the attack by taking advantage of the Bagon's natural instincts... bravo, mysterious redhaired stranger who reminds her of someone she knows. Bravo. Kris is impressed!]
[This is one of those times where he's really happy that he has his Pokédex.
...Wait a minute Bagon why are all of you guys crowding around- you all want to fly, don't you. ...Okay okay okay one at a time, one at a time. Silver starts loading Bagon onto Murkrow one at a time so they can all get a ride. (Man these guys are cute.)]
[She wants to get a closer look... so, since there's no point in remaining hidden, she'll clamber up onto her boulder. She doesn't want to interrupt the Bagon and the boy at their play-
And, when they're done, talk to him a little. That Murkrow is very well trained.]
[It takes him a bit to do something besides be drowned in Bagon and try to get Murkrow to keep flying them around, but eventually, he does look around and sees...
That hair, is it- Crys...? What's she doing here? He could call out to her, but he figures that she'll come down and say hi when he's done, so-]
This location is beyond the reach of most Trainers... it's a perfect for research into the behavior of wild cave-system Pokemon... [She tucks a stray piece of hair behind her ear.]
It helps me, hmm... keep my thoughts in order. [She reaches down and pulls a pair of (red) glasses and places them delicately on her nose.] Have you visited Meteor Falls before?
In Hoenn, there are certain areas of the Routes across the ocean that Trainers can explore with the assistance of a Pokemon that knows the Dive technique... in fact, that's the only way to reach Ever Grande City.
The city was built in the caldera of a dormant volcano... the natural air currents are difficult to navigate from the outside without prior experience.
[...Well now it sounds like he's been issued a challenge. ...But before that, he really should look into this Dive move. ...Besides, that sounds awesome.
...But there's a big problem with the Dive plan, and that's... Not having any Pokémon that know the move.]
We'll just have to rough it out and hope for the best. [...Normally, he'd keep that kind of thing to himself. So why's he opening up about it now?...]
Oh? Are none of your Pokemon capable of performing the move? [What a shame... flying to Ever Grande is certainly an experience, but it just can't be compared to traveling the Underwater Routes...]
Hmm... [Kris closes her eyes for a moment, looking thoughtful. She nods to herself, tucking a stray piece of hair behind an ear, and opens her eyes.] I own HM8. Most Water Types are capable of learning Dive... if you have one on hand, I would be happy to lend it to you long enough for one of them to learn the move.
[Well. Uh. He looks over at Feraligatr. No, Feraligatr's his surfer. ...Maybe Feraligatr could be his surfer and diver.
And then he pulls out two more Pokéballs. Or maybe Gyarados. Gyarados would be really good for underwater diving... Except he's also really big, so maybe not... Then... Kingdra? ...Hmm...]
[...Screw it, he's just going to let Gyarados and Kingdra out and look over to... The blue haired girl that looks a lot like Crys. They both hang out next to Feraligatr.]
...Would you mind if I used it a few times? [They're out to prove his point. ...It doesn't really cross his mind that his Gyarados might attract attention due to his red color, nor does it cross his mind that it's strange to just let out his entire team outside of his ace in the hole in front of a stranger.]
...Why would it be in fives? ...It feels like it should be in fives...]
...Thanks. [Come here guys, you're all going to learn Dive today. The beauty of HMs is that they're reusable. if only all TMs could be reusable... Maybe one day, in some technologically advanced region far away from here or something crazy like that.]

Silver and Sneasel leap off of Feraligatr and head in on direction on land while Feraligatr heads to another. Guess it's battle time.

Bravissimo. A truly elegant solution to what could have been a violent situation.

It's quiet and isolated. That makes it a pretty good spot for a lot of things.

It's a nice place to come and think... just listening to the waterfall is very soothing.
