[Switching from Dark/Ice to Dark/Flying... an interesting combination.]

[Sure, Sneasel could probably wipe them out without much effort at all, but... He doesn't want to hurt them if he can help it. Normally he'd go in the air with Murkrow, too, but that won't exactly fly here.

What will fly, on the other hand... As one heads in to headbutt them, Murkrow headbutts it right back. And from there Murkrow takes a Bagon into the air, and...

...And that's it. Murkrow starts flying around the Bagon. Welcome to flying, dude. One day you'll be able to do this yourself.

It makes just about all of the Bagon completely stop what they're doing and stare at Murkrow and the Bagon in the air in awe.]

In one fell swoop, he's stopped the attack by taking advantage of the Bagon's natural instincts... bravo, mysterious redhaired stranger who reminds her of someone she knows. Bravo. Kris is impressed!]

[This is one of those times where he's really happy that he has his Pokédex.

...Wait a minute Bagon why are all of you guys crowding around- you all want to fly, don't you. ...Okay okay okay one at a time, one at a time. Silver starts loading Bagon onto Murkrow one at a time so they can all get a ride. (Man these guys are cute.)]

[She wants to get a closer look... so, since there's no point in remaining hidden, she'll clamber up onto her boulder. She doesn't want to interrupt the Bagon and the boy at their play-

And, when they're done, talk to him a little. That Murkrow is very well trained.]

This location is beyond the reach of most Trainers... it's a perfect for research into the behavior of wild cave-system Pokemon... [She tucks a stray piece of hair behind her ear.]

[...Okay, no. That's creepy. This isn't Crys, but... Someone acting like her, someone into researching Pokémon...]

It's quiet and isolated. That makes it a pretty good spot for a lot of things.

It's a nice place to come and think... just listening to the waterfall is very soothing.

I see. If you haven't yet, you should ensure that you make a visit to Hoenn's underwater Routes... they're truly spectacular.

In Hoenn, there are certain areas of the Routes across the ocean that Trainers can explore with the assistance of a Pokemon that knows the Dive technique... in fact, that's the only way to reach Ever Grande City.

[...Wait-] Can't you just fly there?

The city was built in the caldera of a dormant volcano... the natural air currents are difficult to navigate from the outside without prior experience.

Hmm... [Kris closes her eyes for a moment, looking thoughtful. She nods to herself, tucking a stray piece of hair behind an ear, and opens her eyes.] I own HM8. Most Water Types are capable of learning Dive... if you have one on hand, I would be happy to lend it to you long enough for one of them to learn the move.

Don't worry about it... after all, HMs can be used multiple times.

[tsuntrader]

[Well. Uh. He looks over at Feraligatr. No, Feraligatr's his surfer. ...Maybe Feraligatr could be his surfer and diver.

And then he pulls out two more Pokéballs. Or maybe Gyarados. Gyarados would be really good for underwater diving... Except he's also really big, so maybe not... Then... Kingdra? ...Hmm...]

There's something off about those Pokeballs... and there's something strangely nostalgic about a red haired boy who trained a Feraligatr...]

[...Screw it, he's just going to let Gyarados and Kingdra out and look over to... The blue haired girl that looks a lot like Crys. They both hang out next to Feraligatr.]

...Would you mind if I used it a few times? [They're out to prove his point. ...It doesn't really cross his mind that his Gyarados might attract attention due to his red color, nor does it cross his mind that it's strange to just let out his entire team outside of his ace in the hole in front of a stranger.]

Not at all... [Feraligatr. Kingra. A shiny Gyarados... how unusual. She never expected to see another with that coloration again.] Hmm.

[She shrugs off her knapsack. Inside her TM pocket are four small cases, each neatly labeled. She pulls out the one labeled "Hoenn."]

[tsuntrader]

[...Huh. She's pretty organized. Silver keeps quiet and keeps making little observations while occasionally glancing back at his Pokémon.]

[She's not just pretty organized- she is ruthlessly organized.]

Ah, here we are. [She hands him the HM.] HM 8: Dive.

...Why would it be in fives? ...It feels like it should be in fives...]

...Thanks. [Come here guys, you're all going to learn Dive today. The beauty of HMs is that they're reusable. if only all TMs could be reusable... Maybe one day, in some technologically advanced region far away from here or something crazy like that.]
